About me
Hello, Friends! I have completed thirty years of serving students and teachers in public education with the most recent eight years as the Los Fresnos CISD Instructional Materials Coordinator. I am blessed to work with an amazing Instructional Materials and Technology Allotment (IMTA) Team, which is led by our Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Gonzalo Salazar, and Chief Academic Officer, Mrs. Valarie Londrie, at Los Fresnos CISD. Los Fresnos CISD is one of the strongest academic school districts in South Texas and proven to be among the best in the state. With approximately 10,500 students enrolled in our district, I work with different IMTA Team Members, such as curriculum and instruction, purchasing, accounting, campus administrators, Digital Textbook Team, finance, shipping & receiving, vendors, publishing companies, Region One ESC, and the Texas Education Agency. I attribute the success of our district's many instructional materials tasks to the collaboration of our campus administrators, supportive departments, Administration, and Board of Trustees.
This is my eighth year affiliated with IMCAT and my fifth year as an IMCAT Board of Director. I am sincerely grateful and honored to serve as the 2024 IMCAT President. The Board of Directors are experts in their field and truly care about the success of our organization and our IMCAT Members, and it has been a fabulous experience working alongside them. IMCAT Members/IMTA Team Members, it is a privilege to help you by sharing what former IMCAT presenters have taught me. Together, we will successfully deliver the future to our students!
