About me
Currently my position is Assistant to the Executive Director of Curriculum. I began my education career as a PEIMS clerk at the Intermediate campus. My next position was as a Clerk in the Human Resources department. Since 2017, my duties have included textbook inventory, purchasing and distribution. The logistics of these duties have changed over the years. There used to be a gym I could use for storage, sorting and distribution. That space is gone now so materials are shipped directly to campuses. Both situations present their own challenges.
Before working for the school district, I earned an associate's degree for a legal secretary career. I have worked for an attorney, Federal District Court Pretrial Division and the Nueces County District Attorney's Office. This training and experience gives me a unique perspective on the upcoming changes to the insructional materials procurement process. IMCAT has been a great source of information and assistance for me over the years. It is my hope that I can contribute to it's work and give back by sharing my experience and knowledge.
